Suzuki je predstavil svoj dirkalnik in ekipo za letošnjo sezono v MotoGP.
Letos bodo nastopili le z enim dirkačem, tako bo za njih dirkal Alvaro Bautista. Zadnja generacija 800-kubičnega dirkalnika GSV-R je bila temeljito prenovljena. Se sprašujete zakaj zadnja generacija? Spomnimo naj, da se prihodnje leto zopet vračajo 1000-kubični dirkalniki, kar pomeni, da bodo morali proizvajalci pogonske agregate razviti na novo.
Letošnji Suzukijev dirkalnik je bil preko zimskih in pred-sezonskih testiranj izboljšan tako v smislu povečanja moči kot izboljšanja voznih lastnostni in povečanju vzdržljivosti. Kot pravijo pri Suzukiju so izboljšali tudi pospeševanje, predvsem iz počasnejših zavojev, kar bo Bautisti pomagalo dosegati boljša mesta. Inženirji so delali tudi na togosti okvirja in zadnje nihajke. Posodobljena je bila elektronika, ki zagotavlja boljši oprijem pnevmatike in več nadzora nad dvigovanjem motorja med pospeševanjem. Seveda je bilo potrebno malenkost dodelati tudi poslikavo dirkalnika, za kar je poskrbel studio Troy Lee Designs. Poslikava vključuje nov, bolj dinamičen logotip sponzorja Rizla, nekaj več dodoane črne barve. To barvno kombinacijo bodo gledalci prvič videli na zadnjih testiranjih pred pričetkom sezone, v Katarju – 20. marca.
